Brave 5K and Festival of the Brave
Event Details
Greetings! I hope this finds you pumped and ready to take on your 2nd Team 5K Qualifier!!! Details for this weekend's Brave 5K and Festival of the Brave in San Pedro Harbor as follows. First, to simplify team bib and race packet distribution, we plan on picking up race packets Friday afternoon. Bibs and race packets will be distributed Saturday morning at the event so you will need to connect with Coach Sarkissian in San Pedro. The address for this event is 3600 Miner St. San Pedro, CA 90731.
Rally time at Lowes is 530am if following me to the event location. 7am if meeting us there. Meet at my truck in the parking lot, and look for the SOAR flag to guide you in.
There is a $5 CASH ONLY parking fee for this event.
Itinerary as follows: 7:00a race packets, bibs, and timing chips will be distributed. 8:10a pre-race instructions and team prayer. 8:20 we walk to the line. Race goes off at 8:30a. Complex carbo loading, hydration, and rest will be essential through Friday evening guys!
Immediately following the event, all are invited to attend the post race Festival of the Brave. The festival is free for all SOAR students, Charity Runners, and Coaches. For SOAR family members and friends wising to attend, SOAR has arranged 50% off admission for all others. There are two options for families wishing to attend the festival, either purchase your ticket in advance by CLICKING HERE and using promo code SOARFAM, or mention SOAR at admission for the same 50% discount on event day. Coach Sarkissian will provide a SOAR identification card for families as well for use if needed. Admission to the festival for family members is $10 per ticket at the discounted rate.
